About this Program

The Liberal Arts program offers courses to complete the A.A. degree in Liberal Arts or the Minnesota General Education Transfer Curriculum (MNTC). MnTC is an agreement among all Minnesota two and four year public colleges and universities to help students transfer between schools. The MnTC is a commitment by these schools to accept specified general education coursework transferred from other participating institutions. Completion of the 40-credit MnTC at MCTC can be applied toward the A.A. in Liberal Arts at MCTC or transferred to another school. Planful selection of additional coursework at MCTC enables a student to complete the first 2 full years toward a baccalaureate degree at another college or university.
