The Office of the Chancellor at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has scheduled public forums Wednesday and Thursday to gather public input on a proposed three-year strategic plan for the system.

Copies of the draft plan will be available at the forums. The schedule is:

  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 5
    Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cafeteria
11200 Mississippi Boulevard, NW, Coon Rapids
  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, June 6
    Rooms 253-254, Centennial Student Union
    Minnesota State University, Mankato

Chancellor James H. McCormick plans to present the proposed strategic plan to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees for approval at its meeting June 18 and 19. The proposed three-year plan sets strategic directions for 2002-2005 for the 34 institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and University system.

The plan was developed from input received at forums held with community, faculty, staff and student groups during Chancellor McCormick's visits to all 53 campuses in the system and through his legislative visits and the work of the Citizens Advisory Commission.
