Statement: Response to Governor Dayton’s Budget Proposal

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 16, 2018 – In response to the budget proposal announced today by Governor Dayton, Minnesota State released the following statement:

“Governor Dayton has once again shown tremendous leadership and support for the critical role that higher education plays in driving the growth of Minnesota’s economy,” said Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of Minnesota State. “In addition to his support for capital and asset preservation projects as well as supplemental campus funding that he has announced during his State of the State Address, the Governor’s budget proposal shared today adds support for critical enterprise technology infrastructure that will improve the educational experience of our students and contribute to their success. On behalf of our 375,000 students and 16,000 employees who will benefit from this technology infrastructure, thank you, Governor, for your support.”
