About this Program

This program teaches students to analyze social situations in sociological terms and to better understand themselves and the behavior of others. Such understanding enables students to be aware of the social forces operating to stabilize and change society. Students study social theory and applied social research, as well as specialized areas such as criminology. They are encouraged to use sociological imagination to analyze their social world.
