About this Program

This program provides students with a core knowledge of the discipline, an understanding of the scientific method, skills in analytical and quantitative reasoning, knowledge of the contributions made by scientists, and the ability to deal intelligently with biology-related aspects of their personal and professional lives. Graduates will be prepared in careers such as health care, food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environmental science fields or admission to graduate school.
