  • Direct institutional research operations to ensure that the mission, strategies, goals, and objectives of the college are supported.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment to support evidence-based planning and decision making.
  • Provide professional, technical, and analytic support to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to ensure alignment with Higher Learning Commission (HLC) standards of quality requirements, guidelines, and procedures. 
  • Provide leadership in the area of data integrity to staff that manage student/course/program data.
  • Manage the development, revision, and approval of all college policies and procedures. 
  • Provide leadership for learner outcomes and assessment. Provide support and consultation to faculty and academic deans in developing measurable student learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years institutional or educational research experience
  • Experience interpreting, analyzing, and communicating, orally and written, data and research results to various levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge and ability to use database, SQL, statistical analysis, data reporting/visualization, and survey software such as: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, EPM 11, Power BI, Qualtrics, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities and organizations
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of regional accreditation requirements including assessment of student learning
  • Knowledge of demographic, census, workforce, and IPEDS information
  • Experience with policy development
  • Experience with stat extraction platform and relational databases; Minnesota State databases (ISRS), Oracle platforms (EPM11 and Right Now), and other Minnesota State databases.
  • Ability to work and relate well with faculty, staff, and administrators, and external constituents
