Students who have questions about their rights with respect to their education records are referred to their college or university registrar's office for the annual published notice of rights.

• 2008 Sate Law on Privacy of Student Discipline Records Effective August 1, 2008. The 2008 Legislature amended the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act to clarify that all colleges and universities subject to the MGDPA are permitted to disclose student discipline records as authorized by FERPA.
