Meet Shannon BryantShannon Bryant head shot

Shannon Bryant has joined Minnesota State as the new Executive Director for Workforce and Economic Development.

Bryant most recently served Tarrant County College (TCC) as the Executive Vice President for the Office of Corporate Solutions & Economic Development. She worked with business and industry to strategically align workforce solutions that enhance and sustain the local economy. Bryant and her team collaborated with chief executive officers and leaders from local corporations to identify and solve workforce needs for Tarrant County employers and provides customized workforce and job training solutions. She also lead the Everyday Entrepreneurship Venture Fund which supports local entrepreneurs through customized education, mentorship, and seed funding.

Prior to joining TCC, Bryant served as the Vice President of Workforce Development at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio, where she led one of the largest workforce development programs for a community college in the country. Prior to her time in higher education, Bryant spent 17 years working in the financial services industry helping individuals build career paths and passing security licensing and professional development exams.

Bryant has a Master of Education in Corporate Training and Knowledge Management and a Master Certificate in e-Learning and Instructional Design. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Bryant is also a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP, awarded by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals [NAWDP]). Bryant has also been named the Dayton Business Journal’s POWER 50 Most Influential Women for two consecutive years. Most recently, Bryant was inducted into the Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame, and she was named the 2022 Distinguished Alumnus from the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC).
