Academic Camps

Indigenous Healthcare Career Exploration Camp

Explore careers in the healthcare and long-term care sectors. Students attending the camp will experience various cultural activities including traditional games and ceremonies. Engage with Tribal community healthcare professionals and go on fun excursions and exciting site visits honoring health, wellness, and tradition. Participants will stay in college dorms for the duration of the camp. This camp is free for participants. Participants must register for the camp by June 1, 2024.

Nandagikendan (Seek to Learn) Academy

The Summer Seek to Learn Academy provides Native high school students from Minnesota the opportunity to have a “college experience”. Students stay in the dorms at FDLTCC during the three-day, two-night academy. Each day provides a new experience for students to explore college and career opportunities, develop college readiness skills, and learn about the programs at FDLTCC through mock college classes. The Academy is free for students. Participants must be Minnesota residents and must register for the camp by May 24, 2024.
