RCTC Arts, Crafts, and Fun Camp (Grades K-1)

Explore a world full of color, creativity, and fun! We will create colorful and vibrant mosaics. We will mix up colors like real scientists to discover amazing new shades and learn more about primary and secondary colors. We will splash into the wonderful world of watercolors and get to squish, roll, and shape clay into your very own coil pot and snail. You will make new friends, share artistic ideas, and unlock your inner artist. RCTC Arts, Crafts, and Fun Camp (Grades 2-3)

We will start by creating colorful and vibrant mosaics. We will mix up colors like real scientists to discover amazing new shades and learn more about primary and secondary colors. You will create your own magical meadows of bright and magical tulips. The whole group will complete nature collages using natural materials. You will also make an egg-citing painted egg, create wonderous watercolors, bead eye-catching bracelets, and create a spectacular clay pencil coil. RCTC Aviation Camp

Explore the thrilling world of aviation at a three-day camp designed for students in grades 9-12 including recent 2026 high school graduates. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, learn about aircraft systems, and experience the basics of flight through interactive workshops, flight simulators, and airport tours. Guided by an experienced aviation professional, this immersive camp promises an exciting journey into the skies for aspiring young aviators! Participants must have completed Waiver/Liability, Photo Release, Emergency Contact, and Behavior Expectation forms prior to the beginning of camp. RCTC How to Write a Novel Camp

Whether you've never written a lick of fiction or already have a full manuscript ready to send to agents, this workshop is for anyone who wants to try their hand at writing the next great American novel. You will learn how to develop interesting, flawed characters; shape plot and conflict; craft realist dialogue; and integrate theme that is subtle but emotionally resonant. This camp is a total of six days over two weeks. Participants must have completed Waiver/Liability, Photo Release, Emergency Contact, and Behavior Expectation forms prior to the beginning of camp. Middle School Summer Camp

This interactive, hands-on camp will be held at the Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) Heintz Center on June 9, 10, and 11. This isn't your typical summer school - it’s a "test drive" for the future. We bring in top-tier industry partners to work directly with students, giving them an insider’s look at high-demand careers through real-world activities. There are eight exciting pathways to choose from. Whether your students want to build, code, create, or care for others, we have a pathway for them. Pathways include Agriculture, Construction, Culinary & Hospitality, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Public Safety & Emergency Services, and Transportation. Seats are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers should pack a lunch for each day. Registration closes on April 1, 2026.

Nitro-X

Nitro-X Summer Camp is a three-day, hands-on experience for middle school students to explore transportation careers. Hosted by Minnesota State Colleges and high schools, campers participate in technical sessions, build and customize RC cars in professional paint booths, and tour industry sites. Students develop teamwork and employability skills, culminating in an exciting final RC race—while gaining valuable exposure to high-demand transportation careers. Participants must register by May 1, 2026.
