Academic Camps 

High School Honor Band

This two-day camp is a great opportunity for talented southeast Minnesota high school brass, wind, and percussion instrumentalist to play together and learn from RCTC music instructors and students. The camp will conclude in a performance at 2pm on Wednesday, July 13 in the RCTC Hill Theater. Students must be nominated by their high school band instructors to be admitted. July 12 from 9am-5pm; July 13 from 9am-3pm. Lunch provided.

High School Theatre Camp: Creating Characters Through Improvisation

In this one-week theatre camp, students will learn and practice improvisation skills with the intention of creating vibrant, three-dimensional characters very quickly. The main activities in this class will be focused on comedic and dramatic scene and monologue creation. The camp is led by RCTC Theatre Instructor Jerry Casper. No experience or acting/theatre training required. 9am-12pm each day in RCTC's Hill Theater.

Middle School Scratch Coding Camp

Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children. Students in this week-long camp will learn the basics of the Scratch coding language to create digital stories, games, and animations. RCTC Philosophy and Computer Science Instructor Brendan Shea, Ph.D., along with current RCTC students, will lead this camp. No coding experience required. Students should have a working knowledge of computers. 9am-12pm at RCTC.

Middle School Summer Career Academy

The Middle School Summer Career Academy is a free career-awareness, interactive event for middle school students who have completed grades 6 or 7. It is a commitment of four days of three-hour sessions to explore a career pathway of interest. At the conclusion of the week, the students will have gained knowledge and can share their experiences.

Athletic Camp

Youth Football Skills Camps

Participants will engage in agility, speed, passing/throwing, sportsmanship, and team play skills led by RCTC Yellowjacket football coaches and players. The camp will take place at the Rochester Regional Stadium. This is a one-day camp from 9:00 am - 12 noon. No experience or equipment is necessary. Students may wish to bring a water bottle.
