Aviation Camp

Explore the thrilling world of aviation at our three half-day camp designed for youth ages 13–18. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, learn about aircraft systems, and experience the basics of flight through interactive workshops, simulations and airport tours. Guided by experienced aviation professionals, this immersive camp promises an exciting journey into the skies for aspiring young aviators. Participants must register by May 31, 2024.

CARE Summer Bridge Program - Algebra

The CARE Summer Bridge Program seeks to attract, support and retain graduates from Rochester Public Schools with the desire to attend RCTC. RCTC believes strongly in the capabilities of these students and offers the Bridge Program as a supportive introductory environment for those who choose to attend RCTC. The program is designed to help ease the students’ adjustment to college life and build a foundation for academic success.

  • Dates: June 17-July 25

  • Eligibility: Students entering college at RCTC in Fall 2024 and are recent graduates of Century, John Marshall, or Mayo High Schools. RPS Online and Rochester ALC high school students who score at the appropriate level as a result of their Multiple Measures Course Placement.

CARE Summer Bridge Program - ENGL 1118

The CARE Summer Bridge Program seeks to support and retain graduates from Rochester Public Schools who have attended RCTC for at least a year without completing ENGL 1118. RCTC believes strongly in the capabilities of these students and offers the Bridge Program as a supportive environment for those who choose to complete the program. The program is designed to continue building a foundation for academic success through retention and completion.

  • Dates: June 3-July 29

  • Eligibility: College freshmen who graduates from Rochester Public Schools and have completed ENGL 1117 with a grade of 'C' or better.

Healthcare Explorers Camp

This camp dives into several healthcare career fields including nursing, surgical technology, dental hygiene, fire responder/emergency medicine, and Veterinary Technology (healthcare for animals). Students will use real-world technology and learn from experts in the field. Students must register by June 14, 2024.

  • Dates: June 17-18 and June 20-21 (Wednesday, June 19 is a state holiday)

  • Eligibility: Entering grades 9-12

Introduction to Oil Painting

This camp session will introduce students to foundational techniques in oil painting. Students will be introduced to color mixing, basic color theory, rendering form with light and shadow, and composition. In this one-week camp, we will do a still life and a self-portrait from observation. Participants must register by June 7, 2024.

Middle School Career Academy

The Middle School Summer Career Academy is a free career-awareness, interactive event for middle school students who have completed grades 6 or 7. It is a commitment of four days of three-hour sessions to explore a career pathway of interest. Participants must register by March 29, 2024.

Percussion Camp

Students get hands-on instruction with professional percussionist is areas including general percussion, concert, and marching percussion.Students must register by July 12, 2024.

  • Dates: July 15-18

  • Eligibility: Entering grades 7-12, participants should have 1-2 years of school band or percussion instruction

Theatre and Improv Camp

In this one-week theatre camp, actors will learn and practice improvisation skills with the intention of creating vibrant, three-dimensional characters very quickly. The main activities in this class will be focused on comedic and dramatic scene and monologue creation. The camp is led by RCTC Theatre Instructor Jerry Casper.
