Negotiators for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system and the Minnesota State Universities Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF), an affiliate of the Teamsters Local 320 Public and Law Enforcement Employees, have reached a tentative settlement on a collective bargaining agreement for the two-year period ending June 30, 2013.

Details of the agreement will not be released until the MSUAASF has presented the proposed agreement to its members and holds a ratification vote. If approved by the membership, the proposed agreement will be presented to the MnSCU Board of Trustees for approval. Before taking effect, the agreement also requires approval by the Minnesota Legislature.

MSUAASF president Adam Klepetar said he will recommend that the membership vote to approve the agreement. “I believe this is a fair and equitable contract and proves that the best contracts are struck through bargaining,” said Klepetar. “I appreciate the work both teams put into this deal.”

Steven Rosenstone, MnSCU chancellor, said, “I would like to thank the negotiating teams for their hard work in reaching this tentative agreement. A completed agreement continues our strong partnership with MSUAASF, and we appreciate the vital role its members play in helping our university students succeed. We look forward to the outcome of the MSUAASF ratification vote.”
