Building a Culturally Responsive Student-to-Student Mentorship Training Program

Background

The Academic Success Center at Minneapolis College aims to expand its current tutor training program to include a sustainable pathway for potential student leaders to become certified peer educational mentors through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), an international certifying body for both peer tutoring and peer educational leadership. Participants will engage in a series of peer mentoring modules that touch on topic such as developing leadership skills, enhancing interpersonal skills, and much more.
